Zirconium is an element with an atomic number of 40 and the abbreviation of Zr. Discovered in 1789 it has many commercial applications. In nature, zirconium is found with hafnium and a specialized process is required to separate the hafnium from the zirconium. The export of low hafnium zirconium is heavily regulated and restricted to approved countries.
Zirconium Turnings are produced when zirconium solids are machined. Traditionally viewed as scrap we have developed process to clean, chop, and press turnings into forms ideal for use as oxygen getters in foundries or for use as alloy additives.
